Yesterday Jam: The Sweater Come back

La temperatura empieza a caer, la niebla también. Los suéteres salen a pasear en todo su esplendor tras permanecer ocultos en un espacio del closet o tal vez olvidados en el desorden del interior de un baúl. 

The temperature begins to fall, and also the fog. Sweaters go for a walk in all its glory after being hidden in a closet space or perhaps forgotten in the mess inside a trunk.


Los suéteres hacen su regreso triunfante de nuevo, los extra agrandados con tejido grueso y figuras divertidas son los favoritos.

Sweaters make their triumphant return again, enlarged with extra chunky weaves and fun shapes as the favorites.

Para mi suerte, puedo utilizar finalmente este suéter asimétrico con hebras multicolores que tanto había guardado sin oportunidad de uso. ¿La combinación perfecta? Cartera vintage, botas tipo Chelsie con púas de Zara, collar de Médium y mi accesorio favorito; mis anteojos en forma de corazón de Pixie.

Y también este hermoso anillo de ojo, ¿podría ser más perfecto?

Luckily for me, I can finally use this asymmetrical sweater with multicolored strands that I couldn´t wear so far. The perfect combination? Vintage wallet, spiked Chelsie boots from Zara, coins Médium necklace and my favorite accessory, my heart shaped sunglasses from Pixie.

And yes! This gorgeous eye ring, could be more perfect?

Si tuviera que vestir de un solo color toda la vida elegiría el negro sin dudarlo. Es el color más misterioso, elegante y sofisticado. Además es muy favorecedor y ayuda a destacar los accesorios como ningún otro color. Por eso mi atuendo resultó perfecto para combinar con mi “statement necklace” de Médium, una de mis piezas favoritas de joyería actualmente.
If I had to dress in one single color  in my life,  without hesitation I choose the black. It is the most mysterious, elegant and sophisticated color. It is also very flattering and helps to highlight accessories like no other color. So my outfit was perfect to combine with my "statement necklace" from Médium, one of my favorite pieces of jewelry currently. 


Sin embargo estoy consiente de que el negro no es el favorito de todos. Para muchos simboliza luto y opacidad. Por eso me pregunto: ¿si tuvieran que elegir un solo color para vestir toda la vida, cual escogerían?
However I am aware that black everybody`s favorite. For some people symbolizes bereavement and opacity. So I wonder: if I had to pick only one color to wear in your lifetime, which would you choose?

Yesterday Jam: Over and out

Música de Stacey Kent en el fondo, alternada con algo de Miles Davis , John Legend y una que otra colada de James Blake. El cielo parcialmente nublado, alto deseo de hibernar toda la tarde. No, no es posible quedarse en casa. El deber llama y aunque sienta un ronroneo por dentro que quiere aferrarse al cómodo sillón adornado con sábanas y mascotas peludas, debo salir y pretender que es un jueves como todos. 

Al arrastrarme por la mañana solo puedo pensar que sea lo que sea que vista, debe ser algo cómodo que me consuele en la separación con ese lugar tibio y comprensivo, esa esquina que reserva libros de Cortázar y Neruda para mi, que no volveré a ver hasta la noche, cuando el cansancio me haga olvidar esa pelea matutina que parece autenticarse a diario y perder valor durante el día. 

El maxi dress intercambiado por una nueva amiga, la pequeña satchel que amo, mi chaqueta impermeable para evadir los efectos de la inevitable lluvia, el anillo de piedra extra-grande de Médium y el festival de cadenas que no se despegan de mi últimamente. Todo esto conforma mi atuendo, acompañado de loafers en color de contraste que pretenden afianzar mi comodidad y esos lentes en forma de corazón que agregan un toque de humor y femineidad para balancear los días grises. 

Después de todo debo admitir, que por mucho que el frío me recuerde mi romance con mis horas de sueño, amo este clima locamente. Además puedo desempolvar algunas piezas de invierno que amo y vestir capas de nuevo. Al final la lluvia entona con la melancolía que se siente en estos días, pareciera que finalmente las cosas se ponen en orden y hasta el mismo clima se manifiesta a su favor. 

Some mornings are harder than others; I need a cozy outfit to comfort me with the weather and the separation with my bed. A maxi dress swapped with a new friend, XXL stone ring from Médium, and a festival of chains are my choice. Everything paired with bright blue loafers and heart sunglasses to add some humor and femininity into my outfit to balance the cloudy day. 

And also, I want to wish you a happy Chuseok!! 추석 연휴 가족들과 잘 보내시고 계시죠? 송편은 드셨구요? 풍성한 추석연휴 잘 마무리하세요.

Yesterday Jam: The blue wall

"December. Friday. I am thinking about all the pretty horses again, nothing new, nothing different. Just thinking. I love the deep blue printed in the background and the waves woven in the bed. A metaphoric beach inside the tiny room full of polluted dreams." 

Some melancholic memoirs to publish with some Corinne Bailey Rae music in the background and wearing a bunch of favorite pieces from the closet, from the one strap sandals to the velvet vest.




Here is Corinne with IU!!! ( For those who doesn´t know about IU, she is a very popular South Korean singer, one of those ladies inside a beautiful shiny dress, dancing choreographies). To be honest, I was very surprised about how well IU sounds, even better than Corinne! Play please and excuse me for the akward-cheesy moment.  Oh loook! there is a sing along in the video!
