I am so in
love with this Sebastian Kim pictures for Numéro Tokyo December 2009. The
images are telling us a story; we can see feelings and an incredible esthetic,
no mention the great photography technique and styling.
Me encantan estas fotografías de Sebastian Kim para la
revista Numéro Tokyo de la edición de diciembre de 2009. Las imágenes nos
cuentan una historia, podemos ver sentimientos y una estética increíble, sin
mencionar la excelente técnica fotográfica y styling.

Lo cierto es que la moda es una fantasía y los editoriales
tratan de captar esta realidad paralela e idealizada a través de estas imágenes
que cuentan una historia con mas allá de la superficialidad brindada por las
prendas que se muestran. Es por eso que la moda es expresión.
The truth
is, fashion is as fantasy and editorials are trying to catch this parallel and
idealized reality through this images who are telling us a story beyond the
superficiality provided by the clothing showed. This is why fashion is
expression.

This picture is just love.
This is one of those editorials that you end up loving and remembering all your life. So, here is with a "saudades" touch. Cheers for the great photography (Craig McDean again!) and the Karl Templer´s amazing styling. What else? oh yes, some models we love, Constance Jablonski, Alla Kostromicheva, Magdalena Frackowiak, Sigrid Agren. (Down from Interview magazine September 2009)
Este es uno de esos editoriales que terminamos amando y recordando toda la vidas, les dejo las fotos con un toque de "saudades". Brindemos por la bella fotografía (Nuevamente Craig McDean) y el increible styling de Karl Templer. Que mas? oh Si, algunas de neustras amadas modelos, Constance Jablonski, Alla Kostromicheva, Magdalena Frackowiak, Sigrid Agren. ( Interview magazine September 2009)
Pastel, pastel, oh pastel!
This is not exactly the newest editorial but i want to share it with you because is one of my favorite photoshoots of Craig McDean, specially for the concept. This was published in February 2010 Interview pages with Sasha Pivovarova wearing this gorgeous clothing, part of THE season, the glory pastel season.
Remember the popular Miu Miu birds and cats print? (i know you remember, even when 38748374384 years later and 438574 collectios later might be confusing you), those soft colors and fabrics, mixed with a little bit of barroque details. This editorial represents THAT season, still on my heart. ( And my closet, of course!). An extra: the pastel graffitti and tape eyes.
Este no es exactamente el editorial de
moda mas nuevo que existe pero quiero compartirlo con ustedes debido a
que es uno de mis favoritos fotografíado por Craig McDean, especialmente
por el concepto. Fue publicado en la edición de febrero de Interview con
Sasha Pivovarova vistindo esta preciosa ropa, parte de LA temporada,
esta gloriosa temporada con colores pastel.
Recuerdan el popular estampado de aves y gatos de Miu Miu? (Se que lo recuerdan, aún cuando 38748374384 años despues y 438574 colecciones pudieron haberlos confundido), esos colores y texturas suaves, mezclados con algunos detalles barrocos. Este editorial representa ESA colección, que todavía yace en mi corazón ( Y en mi closet, por supuesto!). El extra: graffitti pastel y ojos de cinta adhesiva.

The styling of Patti Wilson blew my mind. I just love every single piece, the contrast between leather and lace, shadows and lights, the birds, over the knee boots and this Burberry jacket we all love. Great editorial.
El styling de Patti Wilson me dejó alucinada. Amo cada una de las piezas, el contraste entre cuero y encaje, luces y sombras, las aves, las botas over the knee y esta chaqueta de Burberry que amamos desde la pasarela. Excelente editorial.

Gorgeous photo-shoot. Vintage styling, mixing innocence with sensuality. Can you feel the trend of black and white pictures mixed with colored ones? Interesting. Zeitgeist maybe? I can only say, am a huge fan of black and white pictures, a different sensation can be told, another emphasis. I just can´t figure out sometimes how to mix it with the colors, is easy to take another concept when you put the pictures in some filter.
In this case, I think the thread keeps going, specifically in the color pictures with neutral toned clothing. Even the orange shirt looks pretty good; my biggest problem is the indoor-outdoor location. Am not sure about it. Still I really like the pictures, who doesn´t love Lara? I like the clothing as well.
(In fact, I like this photo-shoot that much that I decided to posted it today, even when this is my second post in 2 hours).
