Killing the blazer

No había paso.

Yesterday Jam: The Ramones

The spirits of Lou Reed, Joey Ramone and Syd Barret invade me for moments, as an incurable audiophile, the great bands can´t be missing in my playlist, neither in my closet!
I started a small collection of band t-shirts that besides of expressing my musical taste combine pretty good with a lot of pieces in my wardrobe and place some informality to the rigid outfits, considering my current obsession with statement jewelry (cocktail style pieces usually add more elegance and formality).

This time I wore something more casual, with my favorite “boyfriend” jeans from Guess and a Médium bag that suddenly became a must that I can´t leave in home, how to resist to jade and leather together in a boho version ready to wear at festivals? You know well my other accessories, something from Pixie, some vintage and some generous gifts.

Somebody told me that wearing band t-shirts was way too pretentious, I know what he meant and I also understand that lots of people are buying clothing with pretty prints without knowing the real purpose. My question is, do you like band  t-shirts?, do you consider the t-shirts too groupies and pretentious?

Thank you to Mauricio Diaz for the gorgeous photo edition!

Yesterday Jam: I need some tea and french butter cookies

Yesterday was one of those days when you want to stay home, listen the rain drops falling from the trees and enjoy some jazz music and a contemporary novel. Oh yes, all this sound perfect, I just need a cup of jasmine tea and French butter cookies to complete my evening. The weather is getting colder and colder, the rain don´t stop but after all, you don´t want to stay with your pajamas all day. Sometimes I like to feel pretty and wear something special, even a loungewear piece.

I found this sweater in my mom´s closet last week, looking for vintage pieces to use in a styling (going to show you soon), I instantly loved the color contrast, this aquatic blue mixed with white, no mention the special knit in the collar and the perfect stripes size. First I wanted to wear it with a pair of tights or leggings but considering the cold and the possibility to go out, I picked the jeans. The next is history, am wearing my classic jewelry, a bunch of rings from different places and stores, a necklace from my last collection and clocket from Dorothy Perkins, a bow in my head and super spiky pair of slingback pumps. (It was good to be prepared, I receive two visits that day and believe or not this outfit is the most comfortable thing! )

I tried a couple of pictures outside but come on, it was cold outside! (The lighting benefits...-sigh-)

Yesterday jam: The heaven in my jeans

I know, the title is weird but looking at this picture i discovered how my jeans became into a piece of heaven (yeah sure!), the white parts looks like clouds in the middle of the blue sky. Oh my imagination!

I wore this “poncho”, (please tell me another way to call it! pleeeaaase!! ) for first time in outdoors, i used to wear it in my house `cause is too warm and casual but i found out how great can with my everyday outfits.

I made my necklace ( i think i told you how much my nails suffered…) a long time ago and i can`t stop wearing it, i love the way it looks with the button-up shirt.

This is a simple outfit without complications, ready for a rainy day. Definitly is one of my favorites so far.
