Jason Wu Resort 2014

 I woke up early today, no exercise, no coffee, I was a little bit groumpy I must say. I started my work routine, checking mails, reading NYT, feeling sleepy because is freaking monday and BAAAM! I found some resort collections, beautiful details at Ralph Lauren, gorgeous minimalism at The Row and love, pure love at Jason Wu, it was better than eating a snickers bar. 

I want to wear the entire collection,  i got a huge crush with reasort season but this one is a mix of pieces we can wear perfectly every day. The oversize handbags to DIE!, the minimalism, perfect pants, perfect length of skirt, perfect prints. Did I mention how much I love black and white in a no conventional way? This is my favorite Jason Wu`s collection so far, so young and fresh, remind me 3.1 Phillip Lim and Proenza Schouler, I am definitely looking forward to Resort. I think I need Vacations, with Jason Wu included.

Yesterday jam: Fur, rain and poetry

-The rain is here, again. The first drops are the announce of the best moments of the year for me, especially because I am particularly sensitive and rational with the rain. Rain equals thoughts in my mind, so excuse me if I get a little bit poetical or intellectual. (A dose of sarcasm is implied in this text.)-

I know this is not the confessionary or the psychologist office but I got to say sorry to all of you. Is not what you think, I am deeply sorry if you are dying watching these images because of the heat while I dress a fur coat. Is just, we always follow international trends, even the local stores buy the clothing in other countries following the wrong styles for our climate and market specifications. Is going to be weird to show you my bathing suit photographs when you`ll be into an ice-cube but I must, for the sake of this lonely and forgotten place that no one knows and apparently no one cares. But a change is happening, I can feel it, and the change can be quicker if I contribute to show you how these small countries can contribute to fashion, arts, culture, etc. as well as our forever favorite contributors. Fashion is happening in here, induced by a social change, an explosion is near and for the first time, I want to be aware and explode with it.

All of us have friends in our lives people who make it worth the while, and within those people there are some who share the same interest in certain things with us, that is exactly what happens with  my dear Ana and me, we have fun, we talk, and we love clothes and playing with them. Here again is the result of that playing wich as you can see has some fine results!

Trending: Megan Draper from Mad Men

Those who know me well can tell my MAJ obsession with Mad Men. I am a big fan, can´t miss one single episode and even when the TV show is not so good as the first seasons, i am still hooked and so happy to watch it again after the eternity without new episodes. 

When it comes to style, Mad Men since the very beginning has been a huge source of inspiration, the 60´s gorgeous clothing (ask Banana Republic), the perfection of the interiorism and the preciseness of every detail related to the 60´s period. Learning about fashion history never been so fun. Speaking particularly of fashion, every character had his own wardrove touch, an accurate Don Draper suit, a conservative Betty Draper and the latest addition; a trendy Megan Draper. 

When a new character appears in a show, everybody doubts. At first, we were wondering if adding a new wife for Don Draper was the brightest idea for the show, since we all love Betty, but then we fell in love with Megan, or I must say Jessica Paré? The thing is, the character is good, the girl looks like a model and more than a newbie is a pretty great actress who wasn´t afraid to team up with one of the greatest cast in the history of television. And the stylist got her extra points! So did the writers with the episode where Megan set up a show with her "Zoe Bisou Bisou". Love. what else can I say? Can´t wait to see more Mad Men, more gorgeous clothing and more Jessica Paré as Megan.

The last piece of winter

One of the things Ana and I enjoy the most, is to play around with clothes and accesories, so this time aside of having a very long talk because we haven't been able to see each other often, she came to my place to play dress up with me and my clothes, so she styled me! it was very fun and we played with Médium accesories which are very beautiful and well crafted, their unique design flatters basic wardrobe and also adds something to the over the top fur I ended up in, which by the way I adore!

Yesterday jam: Vintage treasures

Maybe you saw our Giveaway post and notice one of this unpublished pictures. I am OBSSESED with Vintage coats, jacket and blazers, and i was in heaven when I met this baby in the thrift store some weeks ago.

I guess there is something magic in vintage treasures, the stories behind the piece, the mystery of the previous owner. Think in a positive way about a used piece was very hard for me at the beginning but at the end i got the crush with the unique pieces, the charming of an old design and old trends that never fades.

Is the previous owner of my military jacket alive? Is a guy or a girl? Is this jacket a heritage of  a genius mind,  lost in some corner of the world? Maybe some day I will know, the possibilities says that definitely i am not going to know but maybe History Chanel buy my story and makes a reality show to track all the previous owners of all my vintage closet.

Until that happened, i am going to wear this wonderful jacket, with my favorite last season modern pieces, like my Médium "Frida" block in color clutch and the "Moon" Médium necklace.
