Yesterday Jam: The Sweater Come back
La temperatura empieza a caer, la niebla también. Los suéteres salen a pasear en todo su esplendor tras permanecer ocultos en un espacio del closet o tal vez olvidados en el desorden del interior de un baúl.
The temperature begins to fall, and also the fog. Sweaters go for a walk in all its glory after being hidden in a closet space or perhaps forgotten in the mess inside a trunk.
Los suéteres hacen su regreso triunfante de nuevo, los extra agrandados con tejido grueso y figuras divertidas son los favoritos.
Sweaters make their triumphant return again, enlarged with extra chunky weaves and fun shapes as the favorites.
Para mi suerte, puedo utilizar finalmente este suéter asimétrico con hebras multicolores que tanto había guardado sin oportunidad de uso. ¿La combinación perfecta? Cartera vintage, botas tipo Chelsie con púas de Zara, collar de Médium y mi accesorio favorito; mis anteojos en forma de corazón de Pixie.
Y también este hermoso anillo de ojo, ¿podría ser más perfecto?
Luckily for me, I can finally use this asymmetrical sweater with multicolored strands that I couldn´t wear so far. The perfect combination? Vintage wallet, spiked Chelsie boots from Zara, coins Médium necklace and my favorite accessory, my heart shaped sunglasses from Pixie.
And yes! This gorgeous eye ring, could be more perfect?
Life is too short to wear boring clothes
The point
is that after a while, discovering new fashion blogs, I realized how much I
still love fashion. At times this feeling is clouded with quick trends and
saturation, however the reasons why I decided to make fashion my life, my
profession, my poetry and my business, are still there.
La cuestión es que después de un tiempo, descubriendo nuevos
blogs de moda, me di cuenta lo mucho que sigo amando la moda. Por momentos este
sentimiento se nubla con estilos rápidos y saturación, sin embargo las razones
por las cuales decidí hacer de la moda mi vida, mi profesión, mi poesía y mi
negocio; siguen estando ahí.
You know
that feeling of total thrill when you see a picture on tumblr that is just
perfect? And when you find a new pair of shoes you love, or those lanvin
necklaces ... I still believe that fashion is to have fun, express ourselves,
learn to love and even make fun of ourselves as we go through life. It is a
difficult task, being on the side of the industry, knowing that it is my
responsibility to make the girl who is going to wear one of my designs tomorrow
can feel comfortable and confident.
It seems
superficial but it`s not. It´s a little more delicate game, associated with
self-esteem. We have heard once and again that our image is valuable, we
project an image to the world with our costumes and we dress for the life that
we have.
¿Conocen ese sentimiento de conmoción total cuando ven una foto en tumblr que es simplemente perfecta? Y cuando encuentran un nuevo par de zapatos que amar, o esos collares de lanvin… Sigo creyendo que la moda es para divertirnos, expresarnos, aprender a amarnos e incluso burlarnos de nosotros mismos mientras recorremos la vida. Es una tarea difícil, estando del lado de la industria, el saber que es mi responsabilidad de lograr que la chica que utilice la camiseta diseñada por mi mañana, pueda sentirse cómoda y confiada. Pareciera superficialidad pero no lo es, es un juego un poco más delicado y relacionado con el auto-estima. Hemos escuchado hasta el cansancio que nuestra imagen es valiosa, proyectamos una imagen al mundo con nuestro vestuario y debemos vestir para la vida que debemos tener.
For me it
is not worth thinking about trends portrayed on Instagram ideal lives and what
people say. What matters is to have fun. Like a tumblr picture said: “life is
too short to wear boring clothes”.
